We believe every person has inherent worth. Precise Connections, Inc. will not tolerate slavery, forced labor, or human trafficking anywhere in our business, and we hold our contractors, suppliers, and business partners to that same standard.
That same belief extends to how we source materials. We avoid purchasing products or components known to contain conflict minerals — metal substances whose trade helps finance armed groups operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or neighboring countries, groups that rely on forced labor and terrorist tactics to fund their activities. This commitment is grounded in Section 1502 of the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.
Columbite-tantalite (coltan), cassiterite, gold, and wolframite — along with any additional minerals or derivatives designated by the U.S. Secretary of State — are refined into tantalum, tin, gold, and tungsten. Those four derivatives appear throughout the electronics we build, whether procured directly for turnkey manufacturing or supplied by a customer for consigned manufacturing.
We recognize how difficult it can be to trace every component back to its originating smelter. Even so, we are committed to learning about and promoting conflict-free mineral sourcing across our supply chain.
We do not directly purchase raw conflict minerals, and we work to partner with suppliers, distributors, and customers who share this same goal.
If conflict minerals not sourced from DRC conflict-free smelters are found in products or components we purchase or use, we will discontinue that purchase or pursue smelter-compliance measures, alternative sourcing, or alternative components — wherever feasible.
We invite our staff, suppliers, and business partners to report any concerns related to our activities or our supply chain. We have procedures in place to investigate and address anything that's brought to our attention.
